Day in the Life & Unwelcome RVs

It's a stormy day in the neighborhood but we're enjoying a Lemon Sunshine and sharing the ins and outs of our current everyday lives.

Lemon Sunshine
makes 1 drink

1 oz gin
1 oz limoncello
4 oz club soda

Fill a tall glass with ice, add gin and limoncello. Top with ice and stir.

We talk about what a typical day looks like for us right now. Pretty soon our days will look really different because Erica has adopted two little girls and Kelsey will soon be returning to work after maternity leave.

Our obsessions include this kale-quinoa stew and The Pioneer Woman on Netflix.

If you enjoy the show we'd love it if you shared it with a friend (or a neighbor!) and left us a rating and review on iTunes

  1. You ladies brighten my day when I see you have a new podcast! This episode was especially fun/interesting for me because, like Erica, I have what I feel like is too much extra down time! I appreciate it, but I am ready for the laughter (or tears?) of a baby and we are due to have a little boy on 31 May! I can’t wait!
I am not an early morning person (shuffle shuffle out the door), but around 0830, I start to perk up. I am in the Air Force and my days are filled with language and analysis and taking care of the Airmen below me. I live for 4 PM though, when I come home and have an hour to myself and then my hubby gets home and we do our evening routines…catching up, watching some tv (Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a favorite, also Modern Family) and often reveling in our luck at having such a great life, more recently trying to figure out the logistics and possibilities of our future with a child.
It is fun to hear the excitement in your voices over changes that have occurred/will occur in your lives. 🙂

  3. I’m so excited for you! I have thought lately about how I definitely never feel boredom any more and any time you get to yourself feels so amazing, in many ways having children makes you appreciate the little things. What a cool job, I am so interested in other people’s professions and how they spend their days, thanks for sharing a little bit about your days. It takes a bit of time but you’ll find your new normal and it will be awesome 🙂

  5. My latest obsession is your podcast! I really enjoy listening while driving, cleaning the house, exercising, anytime my hands are busy but my ears are not. Totally brightens my day!
Currently I have no regular daily routine due to recent moving and unemployment. Every morning I wake up with 2-3 cups of coffee, catch up on social media, and knock out a few Internet chores and errands from my list. Most days I also drive somewhere to visit with friends and family. Each day looks a bit different at the moment. But I am somewhat looking forward to working again (omg did I just say that??) and establishing more of a routine in my life. I’ll tell you all about it when that happens!
Best of luck to both of you with your upcoming changes in routine. Maybe I’ll fly down to AZ so I can creep outside your windows. I promise that’s not me in the RV on your street 😉

  7. Haha, you’re welcome to creep in my windows anytime. We’ll get a special exemption for your RV if you come to camp out. And yes, funny how we crave mundane routine when we don’t have it!
