Personalities & More Campari

This episode is all about personalities. We each took this mini Meyers-Briggs online personality test and then compare our results. We are only different in one personality category! Kelsey is an INFJ and Erica is an INFP.

We share what we feel the best and most challenging aspects of our personalities are, how they have changed over time, what are personal pet peeves are and how they may relate to our personality types, and how our personalities impact our relationships with other people.

The Bubbly Personality

serves 2
based on a recipe from Bon Appetite
  • about 1 cup of champagne
  • 2 oz of Campari
  • 2 oz orange juice
  • tablespoon honey
  • fresh lime juice
Combine Campari and honey and stir until dissolved. Combine with orange juice, cover and chill at least 30 minutes. Pour half of the mixture into two glasses. Fill each glass with champagne and finish with a squeeze of lime.

In current obsessions, Kelsey is loving the scent Bright Autumn Day from Bath & Body Works, and Erica absolutely loves the children's books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler (and short animated films based on them found on Netflix) Room on the Broom, The Gruffalo, and The Gruffalo's Child. In neighborhood news, casual texts for impromptu driveway play dates are back, and so is Ghost of Tailless.

Join us for our fall episode of The Girl Next Door Book Club airing November 11! We're reading The Girl on the Train, by Paula Hawkins. It's like a virtual book club meeting, and if you're listening, you're in the club. We'd love to hear what you think of the book too on social media.

Final call for fall postcards to lift our sweaty spirits. It's still in the 90s and low 100s around here, so we'd love some happy fall mail from your neck of the woods, and we'll send you one back.

  1. Heyyy, more introverts! I’m an INFJ, too! It is the rarest type, apparently.
I totally get you all on the noise thing, especially the mornings. My husband would turn on the tv if I let him but I’ve protested enough that he has stopped that. But now, now he does music. At least it is generally Mumford and Sons station on Pandora but gah, still annoying. If I protest too much he gets grumpy. So much noise in the morning…boo! Plus a 1 year old…yeah, that’s enough noise for me.
Hiding in the bathroom = yep.

  5. I’m so interested to read more about this personality type, I’d be curious if there’s a reason why it’s rare. Oh the beauty of silence! So hard to find with young kids around.

  7. INFJ over here too. Maybe it’s not so rare?? Or maybe this show is attracting INFJs? Ha
Needless to say… I hung on every word of this podcast.
    Cheers ladies! Well done.

  13. Interesting thought! I wouldn’t be surprised, maybe we’ll have to do a listener survey. High-five fellow INFJ! Judging all the way 😉

  20. We love personalities of all kinds! Would love to know what you thought of the book, book club will be out this coming week!

  21. I know I’m super late to the game (catching up on all your episodes), but…I’m an ISFJ and I just love this personality stuff. I recently came across these “Type Head” visuals which explain, very simply, each personality type. They also have “Stress Heads” which really accurately describe all the things that drive me nuts, haha. Check it out and see if you think it’s accurate for you 🙂
