Travel Goals & Pouch Cocktails

This episode is all about upcoming trips, aspirational travel goals, the fun family travel we see on the horizon, and how we’re prioritizing travel in our family cultures.

Mango Peach Mommy Punch

  • 3 oz. vodka
  • GoGoSqueez Pedal Pedal Peach
  • 6 oz. Trader Joe’s Mango Lemonade
  • Sprite

Shake vodka, GoGoSqueez, and lemonade in a cocktail shaker.

Pour over ice and top with Sprite.

We share some bucket list trip goals. Erica really wants to do Ireland, and Where’d You Go Bernadette inspired Kelsey’s bucket list trip to Antarctica.

In current obsessions, Erica thinks Trader Joe’s sunscreen is the best, and has decided to get her house professionally cleaned once a month! Kelsey is loving Sally Hansen Cuticle Rehab.

In neighborhood news, Kelsey gives an update on the yellow door vs. HOA saga. Oh, and 120 degrees is in the forecast. Send ice cream.

  1. Hi girls! 🙂
Thanks for another fun podcast, I’m definitely feeling you on the desire to go to lots of National Parks and to make travel a real priority with my family as my girls get bigger. So nice to think about! My husband and I had one of those nice “dreaming about the future” type talks last night and revisited some of our own summer travel goals.
On another note, Kelsey, you mentioned books on tape for Dash. Can you share some of your/his favorites? Thanks!

  2. Love those travel planning conversations! Audio books, yes! Loving them! I have been buying children’s audio books via Audible through Amazon, you can buy them one at a time and don’t have to join Audible. Our favorites include a collection with Where the Wild Things Are, Goldilocks, Dr. de Soto, and Owl Moon; Caps for Sale; The Gruffalo; Peter’s Chair; and a collection of Three Billy Goats Gruff, Tikki Tikki Tembo and Strega Nona. Happy listening!

  3. Just listened to this episode and wanted to make sure you’ve seen the recently released National Park stamps, Kelsey!

  4. OMG OMG NO I had not! Freaking. Out. Obviously. Going to the post office today to stock up, thanks!

  5. My son just got the book At the Same Moment Around the World by Clotilde Perrin that details what a child in each time zone throughout the world is doing at one particular moment in time. It has beautiful pictures and I love how it introduces the concept of different cultures and time zones (such a confusing concept for a toddler!). Bonus for you ladies: Phoenix, AZ is featured. It also has a little pull-out map at the end showing where all the kids mentioned live. Made me think of this episode and what a good travel conversation starter it is for kids.

  6. Love the sound of this, thank you for the recommendation!
