Laundry & Sudsy Sunday

Buckle your seatbelts, dear listeners, for this riveting topic! We’re talking all about how clothes are getting clean in our neighborhood. Everyone does laundry, so everyone can relate.

We sipped on this cocktail inspired by Jenna Kutcher’s month-long trip to Hawaii and what Erica had in her kitchen:

No Kids in Maui

  • 3 oz. pineapple juice
  • 3 oz. coconut water
  • 1.5 oz. vodka
  • tonic to top it off

We’re chatting all about our current laundry situations like who does it, how often, and how we feel about it. We also cover how we sort it all and keep it organized and what kind of equipment we’re using these days as well as how we’re folding, putting it away, and who else gets involved in the fun. Erica shares a funny story about a laundry chute and we share some great laundry tips from listeners.

Laundry stuff we mentioned:

In neighborhood news, Erica has a full circle meeting with a sweet listener. In current obsessions, Erica is rocking some performance undies (which incite quite the debate) and Kelsey loves her sleeping children and related curly hair.

  1. So…..have you considered not wearing undies at all with workout leggings? A lot of them are designed to be worn without underwear! When I realized that, I gave it a try and have never looked back!
(I should note that I don’t wear undies with workout leggings/shorts when I am *actually* working out. If I were doing the athleisure thing and wearing them all day as opposed to just an hour or two, I probably would wear something underneath.)

  2. Listened to the laundry episode today. The underwear conversation was great! With the Oxyclean I just add a scoop in the wash with the towels. Ever since doing this I haven’t had that musty/mildew odor. For both burp cloths and leaky diaper stains I soaked in borax and warm water then washed. Thanks for mentioning my advice, that was nice to hear. I hope saves some onesies from the trash 😉

  3. I need to see a video on how to fold these T-shirt bricks! I HATE opening drawers to rifled through folded laundry…if they were bricks…..that sounds like heaven.

  4. I will have to make one!
